The sugar palm (Arenga Pinnata)
Gula Enau (Arenga Sugar) is a brand of forest sugar products owned by Himba Natura Senentang. Gula Enau is derived from the sap of forest enau (palm) trees. The sap, obtained through tapping by local farmers, undergoes a heating process to reduce its water content, resulting in the formation of palm sugar crystals. This particular product originates from communities residing in the vicinity of the forests in the Sintang and Melawi districts of West Kalimantan
